Featured Question
I do not have a high school diploma and I heard that by taking and passing the GED, then I would have the same qualified skill sets as if I graduated from high school. Is that correct?

Counselor Cory's Answer
Yes, that is correct. Anyone who passes the GED test gets a California High School Equivalency Certificate, which means they know the same things and can apply for the same jobs as someone with a high school diploma. The General Educational Development (GED) test is given in many places in California and costs around $100. There are books and classes that can help you prepare for the test. Learn more about the GED test at http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/gd/gedfaq.asp.
